Guardian Bus Lines provides home-to-school transportation through structured, contracted daily routes. We work closely with school divisions to deliver consistent scheduling, highly-trained drivers, and well-maintained buses that support safe, on-time service throughout the school year.
We operate with one spare bus for every three in daily service. This built-in capacity supports route continuity and allows us to keep service consistent when maintenance or scheduling adjustments are needed.
Contract routes are supported by Guardian’s Rider Experience Fund, which is used for small onboard improvements, seasonal decorations, and thoughtful touches that make daily trips comfortable and familiar for the students we transport.
Starting something new can feel unfamiliar. Guardian Bus Lines is happy to partner with affiliated school divisions to offer a First Rider program for students new to riding the school bus. Before the school year begins, drivers visit the route on a scheduled day so new riders and families can meet the driver, step onto the bus, and become familiar with the experience and basic safety expectations.
This program supports a confident start for students and helps establish steady, well-paced routes from the first day of school.
Guardian Bus Lines aspires to partner with school divisions to support an annual student recognition award focused on school bus safety.
Under this proposed program, Guardian would provide a contribution to the participating school division to support the Guardian Safe Bus award. The school division would invite students to participate, for example, through a short written reflection or essay on improving safety around school bus transportation.
Selection, eligibility, and administration would be managed by the school division in accordance with their existing policies and processes. Guardian Bus Lines would not select recipients directly and would work within established school frameworks to ensure the recognition is appropriate, transparent, and education-focused.
This initiative reflects our commitment to safety, care, and long-term community engagement, while encouraging students to think critically about transportation safety and shared responsibility.
